Have you ever experienced searching for something only to find out that it was in your possession all along? Flipping things upside down, turning things inside out, trying to find what you didn’t know you already had?
My cell phone was missing. In this day and age being detached from your cell phone is a big deal. I needed to make an important call and my cell was nowhere to be found. I don’t remember when it dawned on me, but a few seconds later as I responded to the voice on the other end of the line, and held the phone from my ear to the front of my face, I realized that the phone I was looking for I was speaking on all along. I was in mid conversation on the phone, but was somehow oblivious to the fact that it was in my possession all this time. I had a quick laugh at myself, but at the same time an “aha” moment.
We are far more powerful than we know. Many times we beg God for things that we already have access to without even realizing it. The word of God says in 2 Peter 1:3 “His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of Him…” Our heavenly father has equipped us with tremendous power to accomplish anything that we put our minds into. In Genesis 11:6 God observed how great mankind was and said “Nothing that they propose to do will now be impossible for them.” Yes God is all powerful, but he gave us dominion too. We can speak life and health and any other blessing over ourselves. We have that authority in Him.
Let the frustration end here. God has given us the measure of faith and even if it’s the size of a mustard seed, it’s enough to move mountains.
