A few months ago I was accosted over the phone by a music research company soliciting people to take a survey. As a part of my maturation and emotional development, I have made it a point to not be rude to people, particularly random strangers who take up unwarranted time.

I am a lady in waiting, and it seems like I’ve been waiting forever. I’m a few years shy of 30 and not even a potential. Husband that is. I made the decision to wait a long time ago, and haven’t budged since.

Prayer is the act of communicating, listening and talking with God, our Father through Jesus Christ to help us develop our relationship with God. She’s not your traditional gospel singer. She is by far in her own lane; and Mrs. Zulema Cheek is unbelievably talented. She produces her own music; writes her own songs and arranges all the melodies with complex yet incredibly captivating harmonies.
Caught in between a rock and a hard place with barely enough room to lift your hands up to wipe the blood, sweat, and tears from your face. You’re submerged in the ocean of pain, way down deep past hurt and shame, where the darkness of loss and heartache are the only forms of light you see.
Not too long ago I had a conversation with two friends of mine on our way to a rehearsal for a gospel play. The topic of spiritual gifts surfaced and God’s calling for your life. My friend said to me “So Tony what is your gift from God?” I responded “I think its singing.

We as people can’t pull anything over His eyes.
“For His eyes are watching us”.

Ministry is not solely built for the pulpit, it expands far beyond that. There are pastors, singers, ushers, and then of course, playwrights. Jermaine Smith, widely known as “Jay Everday”, is an inspirational playwright from Brooklyn, N.Y.
What’s the difference you ask? Webster’s Dictionary defines religion as “The service and worship of God or the supernatural; commitment or devotion to religious faith or observance.
I wish I could prove to my peers that God is real. But I can’t. The question of is there or isn’t there a God is one that will always revolve around the minds of many until that day, as I believe, when He comes. I’ve had countless conversations that came with endless questions, only for nothing to be resolved.

My pastor, Pastor always says that transparency brings about deliverance. Through my writing I seek the Holy Spirit for guidance with every word I write.
